“And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”
There are three that bear witness: spirit, blood, and water. Last Monday, I got the pleasure of praying for a woman with chronic nose bleeds. She would bleed so much blood she couldn’t do much of anything. She had surgery to fix the issue, but since then the nose bleeds had started to come back. My teammate Micah and I talked to her about how God heals and we talked about Luke 4:38, where Simon asked Jesus to heal his Mother-in-Law. In this story, Jesus didn’t just heal her, he was asked to heal first, then he healed. We ended up praying for this woman, then left her house. The next day some of the other guys from our squad visited her to check up on her. When she saw them, she was so excited to see them again even though she wasn’t healed. They talked to her for a little bit, and the woman asked for prayer again. She had complete faith she would be healed. The guys left again not knowing if she was healed. Wednesday we decided we needed to see her again. We went to her house and asked how her nose was. She told us her nose had been healed and now only water came out instead of blood. She was now able to go out in the sun and pick up heavy loads without being too fatigued. I believe Jesus truly changed her life. I was reminded of John 19:34 where they stabbed Jesus on the cross and immediately water came out. We got to tell this lady all that the Lord had done and that our testimonies are not meant to be kept to ourselves. Our testimonies are meant to be shared with everyone. The Lord’s miracles are to show us his goodness and that he still moves in our lives, bearing witness to his goodness, in blood, water, and spirit.
