Hey everyone! As you may have guessed from the title, in 100 days I leave for the World Race!!
First of all, I am beyond excited! I am excited to meet my squad, I am excited to sleep in my tent, I am excited to see the Lord show up in amazing ways! I am just simply excited for all that comes with this journey. All the good things and all the bad things because I know God has a purpose for it all!
Thank you to everyone who has donated to my trip! It means so much and I truly cannot do this without your help. As of right now I am 34% raised which is incredible! I also want to thank my home church, Compass, because I have been given the opportunity to do a video for my church in the summer!!
Also, while yes I am so super excited, to be honest, I am also worried, stressed and a little scared. I know it’s normal to be scared when you take a huge step of faith, but it’s still hard. Recently God has been showing me how important it is to humble myself before Him. How this is all about Him and how He is in control, even when I want to be. Matthew 5:5 says “God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth.” Although I am worried about many things, I am trust God will provide and be with me every step of the way. This is His journey I am merely His vessel to use. Matthew 6:33-34 says “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself”. I don’t know what God intends to show me on the Race, I don’t know what is to come. But I do know that He is good, He is faithful, He is loving, and I am already in awe of the work He has done, so I humbly surrender to Him.
Please continue to pray for me and my squad as we all continue to prepare physically, by getting out gear together and fundraising, but also as we prepare spiritually, leaning more on the Lord and giving Him all our anxieties and fears. “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
