Okay I’m finally blogging. I’ve been postponing writing this because I don’t know how to write my goodbye to Guatemala. Guatemala is a special country. It is beyond words beautiful. The pace of life is peace. The people are so hospitable and extremely kind. Gods hand is so evident. I will miss it. A part of my heart will always be in Guatemala.
I loved every second of every day in Guatemala. Even when things got hard, Guatemala always offered so much joy. There was joy in going to ministry. In teaching English to kids. In building a house. In spending time with my team. In beauty for ashes events. In doing art for Jesus. In house visits. In street evangelism. In talking with my amazing ministry hosts. In worship. In playing games. In looking at nature. In the food. In community. There was joy everywhere, and it was easy to find.
God is moving in Guatemala and I am honored that I got to be a part of it. God didn’t need me to be a part of it. But still He chose me to be there. He generously allowed me to help in what ever way I did and to witness what He is doing there. It was so special.
I pray that one day I will get to go back. Guatemala, you are loved.
