Let’s address the elephant in the room.

I know I didn’t post another blog during the car ride, but hey, that was due to my devices running out of battery. However, that’s not the main issue. Many of you may have heard about the recent mudslide in North Carolina involving K-Squad. A few people reached out, concerned about my safety. I want to clarify that I’m with Squad-M in Mississippi, working alongside Mennonites and Cherokees. More on that later, but I’m doing fine.

I’ve heard several accounts of what happened during the disaster on September 26th, and I’m grateful for the ways God intervened. Mitch was looking out the right window and saw the fallen tree barreling toward them. Thanks to his alertness, everyone was already moving when the tree struck the house. Fortunately, the part that was hit was unoccupied at the time. The only significant injury was a girl who jumped from the second floor and broke her ankle while escaping the collapsing lodge.

They stayed on a nearby hill for about an hour and a half, watching their damaged abode before heading to a gym for shelter. Last I checked, their fundraiser to recover lost items has raised $21,000! Please keep them in your prayers. Tonight, we’ll be holding a prayer watch, praying in shifts.

Thank you, and God bless!
