Well ladies and gents we are off! Let the Indiana Jones music play and the plane map go up!

We left Atlanta Georgia at 7:30 pm EST October 7th on Qatar airlines heading to Doha, Qatar. The 13 hr flight was awesome as I got to catch up on some move franchises like Mad Max and the Planet of the Apes. I also have started to read paradise lost which is an English epic poem about the fall of the Angels and man.

The plane landed around dinner time in Qatar and we had a 3 hour layover allowing us to explore the airport and I’m glad we did because they had an awesome indoor garden with pitcher plants, waterfalls and other intrigues. The food court was delicious and I had a Dosa from an Indian food restaurant.

The final flight was a good 7.5 hours over India to our final destination of Kuala Lampur, Malaysia. I got my 2nd and 3rd hour of sleep. After we landed customs was easy and we waltzed right through. The real challenge for me was baggage claim where I spent what seemed like an hour to find my backpack. Praise the Lord I didn’t have to go without it! We went on to meet our tourist guide pastor Thomas (PT) and Uncle Paul who are two awesome people and Brandon and I talked to them a lot before we went off on the bus. Uncle Paul was telling us about his prayers of how in these next 40 days he saw us not led by man but led by God and how he was very excited for us to be here.

We then got on the tour bus for a 6 hour drive all the way to our home in Sungai Petani. Karis and I listened to music on the way and I got fried chicken at McDonalds which was very tasty. At a market I found this interesting fruit which might have been _____ apple. By that point I was already getting really tired and I had about 9 meals in 48 hours so dinner was not on my mind in the slightest. In fact, most people were already sleeping haphazardly on the floor before dinner came.

Now back in the present these past few hours have been spent chilling in a mall and Malaysia which is an awesome rotunda-esque tower with staircases akin to Hogwarts. And the biggest store here has a very creative name: The Store. The Store has many things including Deformers a transformers spin-off and the classic building bricks. If we come back we might bowl on the 6th floor but today I got a leather bracelet.

And finally we have reached the end and before I leave I want to give you a great verse I read from John. It made me very happy the second week on the world race. John 1:48 (NIV) – “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.” I was feeling rather invisible at the time but God spoke and said I was far from invisible and he saw me. God is amazing ladies and gents and I want y’all to know that.

God bless!
