“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14

If you’re anything slightly like me at all then this hits you like a sack of bricks. Knife to the chest.

We’ve made it to our first country, Nicaragua! We’ve only been here a short while but it feels like home more and more each day. This is a land truly full of color and beauty! Our days are long but so life-giving! We start every morning at 5am for quiet time with the Lord and then have a full day of ministry and end it with dinner at 5pm!

During the quietness of the morning the Lord has taught me so much already. The way that His love has just been poured out on me is something that I can’t really explain. There’s truly just not enough words. It’s something that you have to truly taste and see that the Lord is good!! A lot of my life I’ve always felt the need to be independent. I always thought I was just better off if I did it myself. Oh how I was so wrong. God has been so gracious and gentle to show me that this isn’t the way he designed us! He designed us for community! With community comes help! Allowing others to serve you. Allowing God to fight for me because we all know our own strength isn’t enough. No matter how hard we try. We aren’t strong enough. It’s when I came to a place of desperation that I realized I cannot do it. He is the one and only one who can help me. What a good Father He is!! The fact that we just get to sit and be still and He fights for us? In this world that’s like unheard of. We are so consumed by busyness. Do we ever take the time to sit still and let the Father fight for you? He truly wants to fight for you. Not just because He has to, He doesn’t have to do anything. He wants to!! I pray that whoever reads this would just get to encounter the Lord in a new way! I pray that you read this and it makes you realize that we aren’t in this alone and it’s not our own strength that’s gotten you this far. It’s Him and Him alone. Let Him fight for you. Let Him swift you off your feet. Let Him help you. Be still. Trust.

Please please let me know how I can be praying for you! Also I’m still fundraising! If you feel led to support that would mean so much!
