Three weeks done! Woah God is so so good. Training camp is officially over and we are heading into our week of domestic ministry at Sharptop Young Life Camp. These three weeks have flown by and they have been so fulfilling.

Our day to day usually looks like; personal devotional, breakfast, then about an hour of worship, an AWESOME sermon, team and/or squad time, then lunch, team prayer, personal time, another BALLER sermon, squad time, more personal time, dinner, campus clean up and more personal time, and then beadtime!

For my personal devo time, I’ve read through John, Psalms, and Song of Solomon. The Lord has shown me how important it is to start your day in the word and put on the armor of God.

Worship and the sermons have been like nothing else. The room is full of the Holy Spirit and pure love of God. It’s amazing to experience and witness the peace and guidance of the Lord in a room full of 200 + people.

My squad is a group of 35 people (racers and leaders) who are going to the same countries. My team is a group of 4 racers and one amazing leader which is the group we will do all of our ministry with. My team leader is Alisha and my teammates are Mallorie, Madelyn, and Emma!! We are a small but mighty team.

During my personal time throughout the day, I spend it doing bucket laundry or taking a bucket shower (they are actually so amazing). Sometimes I play spikeball with some squad mates, or I just sit in the presence of the Lord.

Campus clean up is either doing dishes for everyone, cleaning porta potties (which is the only form of bathroom we have), cleaning showers, sweeping and mopping the training center/vending machine area/dining deck. This is a way to serve where we stay and make sure it’s all clean by the end of the night.

During week two, we had SQUAD WARS. It’s basically when all the squads come together for friendly competition of games and skits. Our skit was a reenactment of the bible, and we ate. Our squad, L SQUAD, won squad wars overall and it was so much fun to get hype and get decked out in green for the war.

We recently hiked Mount Yonah and stayed overnight. We all carried a backpack with our sleeping stuff in it and potentially a tent. As we started it was super warm and humid, but also so sunny which was so amazing. As time went on, it got cooler and started to rain but that was so refreshing. Once we got up to the top, we all hung out on the edge of a rock and watched the sun set. Everyone set their tents up and ate hotdogs and apples for dinner. Then we all woke up at 5 am to hike down and get Chick-Fil-A for breakfast before getting back to the base at 8 am. It was such an amazing experience and bonding moment for our entire squad.

Overall, these three weeks of training camp have been so fulfilling to me and everyone else. Getting to spend everyday with my squad and team has helped me grow in so many ways. Our squad has connected so well off the bat that I’m even more excited for what will happen when we leave the US. I want to thank all my supporters for the prayers, encouragement, financial support, and even just reading my blogs. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with questions, comments, or concerns. I love you all so much. All praise goes to God our Father.
