I am so excited and extremely grateful for the opportunity I have to study abroad while doing missions in the fall with the world race!

In the back of my mind I have also considered doing missions again after graduation, but with the stress of graduating I never really thought of pursuing this, so instead I just planned on going to college in my hometown. However, after feeling very overwhelmed with my options and the cost of college I decided to think more about my next steps before getting my desired degree. Many of my friends and mentors had told me about the world race and so after graduation I started to research this option a little more. When I saw the option to do missions in Italy while still studying I was hooked. I knew I still wanted to pursue my education, and what better way to do so but while also doing what I love most, serving the church. On this trip I have the opportunity to follow the footsteps of the Apostle Paul, which is so incredible. I have always been fascinated by the geography and history of the bible and seeing parts of this in real life has always been a dream of mine. I am still in shock by this opportunity, but am beyond grateful that I get to do this through an amazing program that will support me and help me grow in my faith. I appreciate all the prayer and support, and am excited to see what God has in store for me and the rest of my team this coming fall!

I will be posting and updating you all while on this trip, I wouldn’t want to share this with anyone else. I am also so excited to grow in my photography on this trip as well, which is a huge passion of mine. I will be sharing all that I experience and learn, not only in my words but through my eyes as a photographer!
