This final week in Nicaragua was bittersweet. I witnessed God’s hand at work in so many lives, made new friends, and met a monkey!
During one of our prayer walks, we visited our translator Kevin’s family. His brother and sister hadn’t accepted Christ, feeling their sins were too great to be forgiven. Hearing this broke my heart, but we had the opportunity to share God’s truth with them, replacing their doubts with the message of Christ’s love. We invited them to our micro church that evening, and they came—and loved it! Praise God! Kevin’s brother, Marco, even wrote us a note afterward, thanking us for encouraging him and his family.
On Monday, the L-Squad arrived, and it was such a joy sharing our space with fellow believers. We had amazing times of worship and fellowship together.
The photo below is of Juan and Modesta, the sweetest couple you’ll ever meet. Their love for the Lord is evident in their hospitality and conversations. Though we went to share the Word with them, they ended up ministering to us even more.
Now, it’s time to head to Guatemala! I can’t wait to see what God has planned for this next chapter.
