We have made it to Africa! A week has passed since we’ve gotten here and it has so far been quite the blessed trip. We have gotten to start our ministry for a couple days and we’re doing kids ministry! We have been working at a daycare with the kids and the workers at the daycare. There is a Shepard that oversees the operations for the day (and speaks Siswati and English) and then there are usually four cooks as well. I have gotten a chance to play soccer, sing songs, tell Bible stories, read books, and hold lots of kids so far. I have also gotten a chance to speak with the cooks and Shepard a lot. We have shared testimonies and talked about prayer and other Bible stories. We have shared laughs and jokes as well. Taylor and I got to speak with them for a long time and pray for them. Another day I got to hold a baby in my lap while there were kids writing letters in English around me. I held the napping baby and read letters to make sure the English made sense and helped the kids with their spelling and grammar. We also got a chance to walk around the town we live in, Manzini, and go to the grocery store. We cook for ourselves, and we have three head chefs that cook each meal with some others helping. Our head chefs are Jaya, Emily, and myself. We have been cooking up a storm for everyone making breakfast and dinner. The cooks at the daycare said to Taylor and I that they know God loves them because of groups like us that come to visit them. They love the ministry and love that we come play with the kids. Stay tuned for the future.
