God is moving. The thing is God never actually stops moving or working. It’s a constant, the only thing that changes is my point of view. I am by no means ignoring the hard things about this earth , but I am focusing on the way God moves! Vietnam is a country where you can not be openly Christan. So being a missionary gets complicated. We do a lot of volunteer work in the name of God, pray over spaces and people, and help the community in any way we can. In the past week we have put on three musical performances, singing carols and acting out the nativity scene! It’s silly, light, and powerful. At one of our preferences my teammates met a little girl who goes by the name Chip. They bonded over the candy they were eating and became friends! About a week later we saw Chip and her parents at a street Santa meeting! Ella asked Chip and if she was going to be at church and her mom said not likely, but not no. The next day at church we were all so pleased to see Chip and her mom. After talking for a bit we came to find out that it was Chips moms first time ever at church ! I can not think of a better first time than a Christmas Eve Sunday! The small relationship that Ella made with 6 year old Chip now is sparking Christ in their home!
One huge lesson I’ve learned on the race these past four months is , nothing is too small. There is no prayer, no reading of the word, and no smile that is too small. God sees all of these things and boy dose He use them! How amazing is it that our God can use us for his good! Praise the Lord! He is our protector, redeemer, and lover! Our time here in Vietnam is short, but it’s not small. We are about half way done with our time here, but I know that so much will happen, I just have to look for it ! Merry Christmas from Vietnam !
