Goodbye & New Hellos

I am currently on day 6 of training in Gainesville Georgia!! But before I dive into what life currently looks, like I want to acknowledge those who got me here (sorry I don’t have pictures with everyone) I had to say some hard goodbyes to friends and family before leaving. All people I will miss dearly! I am so thankful for all the support I have received. When I say support, I mean the prayers, encouraging conversations, meaningful text messages, and financial support! I feel so blessed! thank you all!!

Its definitely been an adjustment coming to training camp! Let me tell ya! There are about 200 people here at camp. My team consists of 20 people, all who have been so amazing and a blast to get to know. We have been quick to bond especially since we are all sleeping in tents together and only shower twice a week. Did I mention it is hot and humid and we don’t shower often? Smells have developed. But we make sure to spray some perfume in our tents at night to help with that, don’t worry!

Coming to training, none of us were told what it would consist of. We guessed…training of some sort. We were right! A normal day has looked like waking up around 7 to get ready and use our beautiful campground portapotty with Kevin the spider watching us do our business. We think(hope he’s harmless). Then we head to breakfast which is a 10 minute walk. The food has consisted of some yummy food from all around the world. Then we head to morning devo with our team. Our leaders tend to lead us in a small devotional that transitions to a time for us to go to God and have a little morning date with Him. After that, we realize how tired we actually are so sleep walk over to session and worship, where we spend the majority of the day. Days are packed but good!

We have also all experienced the gift that is bucket showers. What a time! But honestly one of the best showers I have ever had. Home depot buckets of the win!

That is all for now since I am falling asleep as I write this. Stay tuned for more!
