Life in Guatemala has been so sweet. I’ve been slacking on writing my blog, oops! I’ve been sick at least once a week, and ministry is very tiring but also very rewarding. God has given us such beautiful skies here. I’ve been missing my friends and family a lot, but I’m getting closer to my team since we’re together every day, haha. We had a kite festival with the kids we teach English to, and it was super fun—they went all out decorating their kites. We got to rest on the weekend and go swimming. We also had the opportunity to help out at a camp for disabled kids, which was very sad but also sweet. They were so joyful, even though they’ve had such hard lives. We’ve had beautiful Bible studies here—on mountains, at the base, and with families in the community. We even had a steak dinner on Prayer Mountain since one squad was leaving, and it was one of the best nights here! We had a bonfire and sang songs around it. We also got to make cookies with the kids at the orphanage and play soccer.

I’ve learned to appreciate the things I have back home. It’s so different here; the lifestyle is more about work and less about friendships. I’ve also learned to appreciate the little things—like the amazing views, and how sweet and welcoming the kids are. I even danced with one of the kids, and it was the sweetest moment.

Prayer requests:

pray for my family back home

also pray for our squad we found out we’re being split up and we’re getting different leaders.
