test

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of preparation, carefully considering what I actually need and can fit in a backpack, and saying goodbyes leading up to my trip. Everything that I’ll use for the next three months is now stuffed into a backpack and a carry on! (That thing is HEAVY) It seems like just yesterday that this was months away and now we’re here! Training camp begins tomorrow in Georgia, Im already on the road headed that direction with my family. The extra time to spend with them is an added bonus! I have been so blessed leading up to this trip and have been so grateful for my community! People have been so supportive in so many ways, financially, I am currently at 87% support raised (and still raising support), but also by promising to pray, listening to my scattered thoughts getting ready for such a long time away, helping pack, encouraging me through conversations, notes, or texts, inviting me into their homes for goodbyes, and putting together a first aid kit for needs that may arise. I am so grateful to have so many people that have been so hard to say goodbye to!
The unknown of stepping into several months away which I don’t quite know what to expect from or what I’m getting ready has been a bit scary, but also exciting and a good opportunity to rest in knowing that God will work through the unknown, that I will know what I need to know when I need to know it, remembering that he is in control every step of the way! I’m so excited to meet those on my squad tomorrow and to serve Christ alongside them for the next few months!
I can’t wait to see what this trip will be like and to be able to provide updates and share about what God is doing through and in us over the next couple months! Thank you all for your continued prayer and support!
