The And then there was light – beaming, we can see now, it’s endless, what has happened?
Now, at this moment in time, God has given Himself and is not anymore the only.
There is now more. There is light.
He doesn’t stop. He makes up and down, sky and ground, land and plants, moon and stars, and then moving things, animals, beasts, creatures – and then… man!
God, He has a friend. Together they name each creature, together they watch each creature… and each has a counter part. God looks longing at his friend… his friend looks back… also longing. Both longing… for a counter part. He doesn’t stop – Adam found his counterpart in Eve, the wonder of creation. Adam – has his counterpart.
Still… where is His, where is God’s counterpart? Where is the one the Lord will call His?
Psalm 18:28-30
“For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness. For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.”
Isaiah 62:1-4
“For Zion’s sake, how can I keep silent? For Jerusalem’s sake, how can I remain quiet? I will keep interceding until her righteousness breaks forth like the blazing light of dawn and her salvation like a burning torch! Nations will see your victory-vindication, and every king will witness your blinding radiance! You will be called by a brand-new name, given to you from the mouth of Yahweh himself. You will be a beautiful crown held high in the hand of Yahweh, a royal crown of splendor held in the open palm of your God! You will never again be called the Abandoned One, nor will your land be called Deserted. But you will be called My Delight Is in You, and your land My Beloved Wife, for Yahweh finds his delight in you and he married your land.”
Matthew 5:14-16
“Your lives light up the world. For how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop? And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light. So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”
Revelation 21:2
“And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.”
2 Corinthians 11:2: I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I have betrothed you to one husband, to Christ, to present you as a pure virgin to him.
Jerusalem is mentioned 800 times in the Bible. Jesus loves Jeru, He loves Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is a city on a hill.
Jerusalem is His bride.
We are His lover. We are a city on a hill. We are JERU.
