Hey Everyone!! I’m so excited to talk to you about my experience at my last high school camp, but first, I’m gonna talk to you guys about what happened at winter camp this past year and how it has changed my life miraculously. This past year, when I was at winter camp, we had breakout rooms for the students every day. We got to choose from three different topics, and each day they were different. On the last day of breakout rooms, my friends and I decided we would go to the breakout room titled “Life After High School”. Previously this year, I had been struggling with not knowing what I wanted to do after high school, and was stressing out. So the instant I heard that Life after High School was an option, I knew I would go to it.  The speaker, who was also talking, struggled with not knowing what he wanted to do until he found this program called “World Race.” He had gone on a 6-month mission to 3 different places and said that his life had changed completely. While I was listening to him talk, I felt at peace and knew instantly that God was calling me in that direction and that this was the path he wanted me on.  Later, when I got home, I told my parents about my experience and what I was called in for. When I started to look at mission programs, World Race popped up, and I clicked on it. At the time, Thailand was one of the options, and I felt like that was where I was supposed to go. After I got accepted and was on track to raise funds and receive prayer, there was a change of plans. the route I was supposed to go on got canceled, and I had to choose a different route. I only had one week to choose and spent that week talking to peers and praying. Eventually, I decided to go on the route to Latin America and Europe. And I am extremely happy and content with the fact that God has led me here to this program and can’t wait for what he has in store for me.

Now that you know a little about me and why I chose to join World Race I’d like to talk about my experience at my last High school camp. To start off I want to say that the week before going to camp I felt really unenergized and was excited to get away and be closer to my friends and family while engaging in what God had for me that week. I arrived to camp with a positive attitude and outlook, until I eventually caught a cold. I began to get bummed out and sad that my last ever camp would consist of me being sick and unenergized. I ended up with a bad sore throat and couldn’t sing during worship. But during worship I heard God telling me to pray, I started praying and instantly my voice regained strength and the soreness went away enabling me to worship the rest of that day. That was the first physical healing to have ever happened to me and I was beyond amazed and happy. I continued to praise the lord, make connections, and received a lot of prayer for when I leave on my mission trip. Overall Camp was amazing and it was a great last goodbye before I leave for my trip.
