test

Hey everyone! God brought me through a lot in these last two weeks. There were situations I thought I was completely over that were brought back up and I learned that I still needed to heal. I had a breakdown in front of my friends yesterday where I cried to them about everything I’d been feeling. They were so sweet in that moment and they loved me so well. Shoutout to Bella, Sam, Lydia, and Mi!

One thing I’ve learned from my breakdown this week, is that it is okay to have feelings. It’s okay to cry, it’s okay to be angry, and it’s okay to be hurt. What isn’t okay is sitting in those feelings alone. I had to take my feelings to the people around me and to God. I’m also learning to fully trust God with everything in my life. That means allowing Him to refine my heart and mind. Peter 1:7 says:

“Your faith will be like gold that has been tested in a fire.”

In the last 2 months, I’ve been sitting in the fire. But if that’s Gods plan for me then I’ll sit in the fire for as long as He wants. I’m never alone in the fire either. Jesus is in here with me. He’s so good and as He brings me through all of these situations He’s going into everything with me. God is so good and His love for us is so beautiful.

Following God doesn’t mean that all of your problems will just go away. Some of them will, and some of them won’t. In my case, God brought a lot of new problems to my attention. I’m so thankful for this season of growth and I’m so thankful to never be alone in this season.

Ministry this week was so good. My favorite part was a VBS we hosted on Friday. We had songs with dance moves and did a little skit on the Armor of God. We brought candy and bracelets and coloring supplies for the kids, and they all had so much fun! Kids ministry has my entire heart!

This coming week will be our first week in Guatemala!!!! We leave on Monday and will be exploring the city of Antigua for a few days before heading into ministry. It’ll be so nice to have that time by myself to relax. Please pray for our health moving forward and for safe travels!
