Meet Rivers!

And now the last of the girls’ teams, Rivers! Unfortunately, Steadfast has never had the privilege of being with Rivers without the other teams as distractions, but that hasn’t stopped us from forming tight bonds with them!

This is Rivers:

As a team, Rivers are known for being the most chill and go with the flow (haha, pun intended) yet they’re always up for anything. Their doors are always open, and they’re always ready to form connections!

Here’s Isabella:

Isabella will either have the most silly and joke filled conversation with you, or she’ll have the most serious conversation about God and what He’s teaching and how it affects her life, and she switches between them far more than you might expect in one conversation. She was one of my main Euchre players, and the third person I met. She’s taught me so much about surrendering everything to God and how there’s so much more life on that path.

Here’s Jess:

Jess is Canadian, and everyone makes jokes about it whenever possible, but she’s such a good sport, she goes along with it and adds to it. She was also one of the core Euchre players, and I got to know her gentle nature and sense of humor very well over multiple nights of Euchre. She’s taught me so much about deep conversations and skipping small talk.

Here’s Rose:

Rose has the most out of the box sense of humor you can imagine, and many of her sayings have been documented to use over and over again. She was another main player in Euchre (we had a lot of core players) and any game with her in it was sure to be one full of laughter. She’s taught me a lot about just being yourself and how people love it.

Here’s Ella:

Ella pours into the people around her so well, you can always count on seeing her surrounded by friends, making them laugh their heads off. She includes people in everything she does, and often steps out of group dance parties to make me join in. She’s taught me the value in laughter and how it draws people.

Here’s Hannah:

Hannah loves taking artistic pictures that share her Race from her perspective, and she also posts videos to Youtube (hannah harris! is her channel) on the different countries we’ve been to. I went evangelizing with her one day in Guatemala, and it was such a great experience and I got to know her so much deeper! She’s taught me how people appreciate just having someone to listen and love them.

Here’s Aaliyah:

Aaliyah makes me laugh everytime I talk with her. She is extremely talented in telling jokes in exactly the right way, and she’s even more skilled in sharing wisdom that has to do with her faith. She’s taught me a lot about how God is faithful and His will is supreme.

Here’s their leader, Emily:

Emily was my leader in South Africa, and I learned a lot about her during that time. She’s hilarious in an unassuming, surprising little comments and phrasing way, and conversation with her is always so easy! I’ve learned a lot about how being a prayer warrior looks from watching her model it!
