Week Two In Guatemala! It’s already been two weeks and I’m so in love with Guatemala. This week has truly humbled me and blessed me. The Lord is so so Good. Let’s Talk about it!
Monday! We had a half day at Hope Ministry’s. So we took the morning to worship the Lord and Intercede for our week. I can’t express how the Lord was moving in an Hour of prayer and Worship with Team Rivers! We Got to Hope Ministry and help with English class with the children! It’s so inspiring to see such bright minds retain a new language and flourish in it.
Tuesday! House visits, We took food and an audio bible to people in San Antonio! It was such a blessing to love and pray over such beautiful family’s. Out of respect for the family, I wont share their story. Please continue to pray for the Lord’s provision and good health.
Wednesday! It was another half day, and we decided as a team to take the time to dive deep into the Bible. Specifically, the book of Revelations! It’s truly a gift to hear other interpretations of the text and their passion to pursue the word boldly. We then went to our ministry, I got to sit in on the women’s bible study. Others went on more house visits and helped clean the garden.
Thursday! Activation day. We had an amazing time of worship and a beautiful message from Gabe about the steadfastness of the Lord! Activation days are for us to take what we learned and to apply it to the people of Guatemala. I got to go with Ella and Jess! We went to Paramos and decided to hand out flowers to people. We prayed over them and just got to tell them Jesus loved them. Then we debriefed our time with Sydney and had a fun time at a sweet coffee shop.
Friday! Soccer Practice! Oh my goodness! Fun fact, I’m really bad at soccer. The children truly schooled me, but it was such a joy to be with them. During the evening I was with the littles! It was such a joy to see their love for Jesus. Then, I got to become a soccer coach and it was so much fun! All of my kiddos and I had a moment to pray before their soccer game. Even though I prayed in English, hearing them pray alongside me in Spanish moved me to tears.
God is moving in Guatemala. Not only is he moving in Guatemala but he is deeply moving in me. It truly is a gift to learn and hear from him.
