My last ministry and country on the world race (recap)
Finishing a race is what makes or breaks champions. Running with all your might to win the prize, to cross the line having given it your all. How you end your race is what seals it all.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Romans 12:11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

This race i’ve ran with all my heart, giving my devotion to Jesus to serve Him and build His kingdom with all of who I am. To never give up and always serve the Lord with a fervent spirit. In this blog I will recap ministry, highlights, and fun pictures from my last country and ministry.

Ministry: New Day New Life ministry in Cambodia was birthed when our hosts went to village chiefs to bring the gospel, were denied many times, and eventually one village listened. What happened? boatloads of children showed up, hundreds. In this town our ministry has 4 village outreaches where they teach children the gospel, english, and host bible studies for young adults and elders.

Our role was to come alongside the hosts and Cambodian staff to serve the children and teach them bible verse lessons, games, and english. To share at groups, and do wellness checks in the village for holistic care of these peoples lives.

Highlights:

  1. One week we were sent to a youth christian camp in Kep, a beach town, as organizers and set up crew. We got to serve Cambodian christian leaders and youth all week and witness God moving powerfully in the new generation of Christianity here all while serving our hearts out. Seeing kids give their lives to Jesus, telling us how their parents reject them for following Jesus but they still pray for their families, getting bullied at school but still loving their enemies. The christians here have such pure faith in Jesus.

2. Swimming in rice fields with the kids from ministry was so fun and the staff loved us playing with the kids

3. Exploring Ankor Wat, the largest preserved religion compound in the world made of many many buddhist/hindu temples from the 11th century

ATL outreach/adventure:

I was asked to head up our final outreach adventure for the squad in Cambodia before returning to the United States. I was not given a position of leadership on my squad so having the opportunity to organize and lead was such an answered prayer and blessing. It was an opportunity for me to seek God and lead my squad well and I am so thankful for it.

God spoke to me (and our ATL -ask the Lord- committee) about Kampot, Cambodia. We prayed for His provision and guidance and has given us so much grace. I built a relationship with our ministry driver who organized a bus for us and gave it to us under budget. I found us an Air BnB THAT GOT CANCELLED while our squad was praying for final atl BUT GOD came through and led us to an even better hostel and gave us grace for it being under budget and has shown up so much!

We had a night of prayer and worship at the common space and multiple people came by to listen and watch us worship and pray. This led to many having gospel conversations and praying for people. Specifically a man from Texas, a woman from Poland, and another woman from Israel. God has been moving so much at our hostel!

Closing:

This country has been challenging and amazing. I am returning home to the United states hungry and hopeful!

Thank you so much for reading and supporting me on this journey!

Please pray for my next steps and God to guide me on how/where to follow Him after the World Race season!
