Hey everyone!! I’ve been in nicaragua for around three weeks now and I have so much to share.
First things first. What am I doing here?
Me and my squad get to help out with so many kinds of ministry including house visits, taking care of the farm, visiting the hospital, ministry at the local dump, and being a part of a micro church!
How has it been?
Really truly amazing. The people here and this culture is so sweet. Everyone loves us so well and are so hospitable. In addition, so much of our time here is focused on discipleship and prioritizing our relationship with Jesus. For example, every morning we spend time with the Lord from five until seven. I’m so blessed to start out in a country where I get to be poured into so much.
How have I been seeing the Lord move?
The Lord has been moving in so many different ways that I definitely can’t put it all into words. However, I think one of my favorite ways I’ve seen the Lord has been through watching my squad. Over the past three weeks I’ve gotten to walking alongside my friends as we step out in boldness, follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and ultimately grow our relationships with the Lord. As a result of their faithfulness I’ve gotten to watch the impact they’ve made on one another and with every single person we meet.
As I was sitting with the Lord earlier this week, I felt His comfort wash over me and suddenly had the feeling of this place being my home. I’m at home within the Lord and His love but also I can say that Granada is now home to me.
All that being said, I simply can’t wait to continue to fall deeper in love with the Lord and for all He wants to do over the next month (ish).
More updates and testimonies coming soon! I love you guys!!
