I am currently sitting in the Turkey airport and reflecting on what brought me here, on my way to Africa. So, I wanted to share why I chose to go on this adventure.
The first thing that pushed me to join The World Race was my desire to open space for God to move radically in my life. After graduating from Montana State University with a degree in English Education, I did not feel like God was calling me to continue down that path. I did not know where he was calling me, but I knew it was in a different direction. That is when World Race came in. It gave me an opportunity to take a few months to serve God and others while I be still and listen to what God has next for me.
These last two weeks of training camp have been difficult as I leave all of my comforts behind but there has been so much good. I have seen God already moving in my squad and my own heart. I know it will only get better from here!
I can’t wait to learn how to serve God radically every day and how to bring that into my “normal” life. Here’s to stepping out of my comfortable.
