Hello all!

Thanks for tuning in again! I had the fantastic opportunity of working alongside my youth group once again this year in a mission’s trip in New York City! I wanted to share a little about what God did and is doing still. He is so incredibly good. We worked alongside with an organization called Lighthouse Mission in Long Island New York. This mission is truly incredible in how they love people. They are there for the kids in the neighborhood for those who need somewhere to go. They share the good news with these kids, give them friendships and food. They run a sort of youth group for children who maybe have never experienced anything like that before. They also do food distribution, which is what we spent most of the week doing. They take the food out and share the gospel to those who are partaking in the food. I was able to pray with some of the people that were partaking in God’s amazing provision and just hear some of their stories.

The thing I took away from the trip the very most in just the perfect provision of God. Every day the mission takes the food that gets donated to them to what they call an “outreach” or food distribution, shares the gospel and gives to these people until the food is mostly gone. The very next morning the entire food pantry is fully filled once again. God provides for these people. God provides for His people all the time, even if it may not be in the way that we expect, He gives us just what we need for the time we need it. We have to trust that He will provide for today, and that’s all we have to worry about. Luke 12: 22-28 says Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life-weather you have enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body is more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things? Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?” (Luke 12: 22-28, ESV). God loves His people, and He will continue to provide for them, all we have to do is trust.

I also wanted to update those of you that have chosen to walk alongside me through my blog! There has been a change in the location of my mission’s trip in the fall! I will now be heading to South Africa and Eswatini. I will still be blogging and sharing what is happening in these countries. God is so good, sometimes His plan is a little different than we expect and maybe that even causes frustration. But at the end of the day, we know He is so good, His plan is always right, we should always depend on Him because He is trustworthy, He has delivered us out of the hands of sin and death, and nothing can be quite better than that. I thank Jesus for this change because it gave me a reason to remember to trust Him in everything and believe that He will send me where I need to go. My location has change, but my goal and my mission remain the same, praise God!
