We leave tomorrow!!! Wow what a journey it’s been here in Nicaragua. These past 10 weeks here have flown by. From every new face and “what’s your name” to every single goodbye with tears streaming down our faces.

The biggest thing the Lord taught me in Nicaragua is the importance of slowing down and resting in the Lord’s love. One morning during our quiet time, a bird had fallen on my friend’s bible. I went over to see what happened and the bird was lying there as if it was dead. I went and scooped it up to walk it over to the grass and leave it there to heal. It wasn’t wanting to leave my hands so I took it back to my seat with me. As I was sitting there the bird had fallen asleep so I took it out of my hand and laid it on my lap in my sweatshirt. As I continued reading my book and journaling, the bird just laid there for about an hour until it looked at me and flew away.

This is exactly what the Lord wanted to do with me. He saw how hard I had fallen from Him, but He came and scooped me into His hands to comfort me. As He’s sitting there working in my life, I’m there in His presence and His love while healing from my wounds. Then when I’m ready to, He’ll give me the okay to get up and walk with Him again.

The entire time in Nicaragua, the Lord has been showing me His never ending love that He has for me. When I sit in His love and accept it, He will give me everything else I need. He will provide me with His rest, peace, comfort, understanding, and protection like a father does. He is my ultimate father and He is the only one that will give me everything I need. I have been in a place of resting in the Lord’s love and slowing down and just being with Him. The Lord moved so much in Nicaragua and I am so happy to see how He is going to move in Southeast Asia.

As we have been preparing for Southeast Asia, we have learned that we will not be able to post on social media or post any blogs while there. Thankfully we are only there for 40 days but I will be taking this opportunity to fast from social media as a whole to really focus on the Lord and our ministry. I will update you guys when we get to Nepal or if I get a chance while there. Thank you all for your support, love, prayer, and encouragement over the past year of preparation and even being on the field. I love you all so much and can’t wait to tell you all about how the Lord moves.
