Throughout my time at training camp I have learned a lot about my identity in Christ. God calls each and every one of us his despite what we are done. Yes none of us is perfect and we still choose to sin but there Is nothing we can do that will make God stop loving us. He calls each of us by name and wants each and every one of us to have a relationship with him. However, every relationship if different. We sometime tend to fall in a state of comparison and compare our relationship with the Lord with others. We might feel like oh so and so is more ahead in their walk with the Lord so I myself need to catch up or hurry. However in our relationship with the Lord only 1 person is in a hurry and 2 people have eternity to work it out. Another thing I learned is that we are God’s chosen people. We might live our life doing things for God saying “Ok God was that enough for you” but God wants us to do life WITH him for not just FOR him. We also need to be ALL in for Jesus and not just half in for him. He might tell us to do one thing and we say “YES Jesus anything for you” but other times he might ask us to do something and we say “No Jesus”. Whether we are too scared, anxious, or anything else we can remember that Jesus is always with us and he would not ask us to do something that we are not capable of doing. We have to let God be God and just put our complete trust in him.
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence” 2 Peter 1:3
