Hey everybody,
So it’s been a crazy week. Tuesday last week I got a call from Lila where she told me that there wasn’t enough people to launch all four route’s in August so they had to cut the route with the least amount of people. Unfortunately that was the one I was on. They gave me the opportunity to pray about it over the last week. So after a lot of prayer and talking with more people I decided to go on route 1: South Africa, Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines. I am really excited about this up coming change.
The Lord has been providing in so many ways. Whether that is through both my jobs or through school or fundraising; He has made Himself known to me. I have had the opportunity to talk to some people from the past route and have been blessed by their friendships. Some of those people have decided to go on a different route and some have decided to go on route 1. I have been able to talk to Mia almost daily and that has been a HUGE blessing. It made making this decision a lot easier because I had someone to talk to about where my head was at.
Also a little life update. I had to opportunity to share my testimony at our local FCA Banquet: Night of the Champions. I got to share about what God has done in my life and share with close to 300 people about this upcoming trip. We also raised a lot of money of FCA huddles on the western slope. It has been a huge blessing and God has been using FCA as a platform to launch this mission. Not only have I had training through them but they have also been so supportive of me. Uncle Geoff and Shae Ila have shown me so many things that will help me on this trip and given me helpful tips on how to memorize Scripture and make God my focus.
Prayers and Praising:
Prayer: Fundraising: that the Lord will provide all the funds needed for this trip
Prayer: Heart: Be praying for the hearts of me and of the people on my new team. That God continue working in our hearts and that we become spiritually ready for this upcoming trip.
Prayer: Me: just continually be praying for me and that I be willing to step outside of my comfort zone in little Montrose, Colorado.
Praise: Mia and I have gotten to know each other better and I am so blessed to have her in my life!
Praise: I am now 33% fundraised: which is $6,470.00
