Thats a wrap on our time in the states! This week has been our rest week coming off of domestic missions and training. It has been sunny and pleasant, I have gotten to spend some good time taking naps and hanging out with the squad.
Good news! They recovered one of my chacos from the collapsed dining hall in Black Mountain and very graciously returned it to me. It might be a little muddy but I’m sure I can hop around on it. Even better news is that I got a new pair of chacos and now have shoes! Never thought I’d miss them.
We got to spend an afternoon at the lake. Some of the girls and I decided to swim across, it wasn’t until i got halfway across until I thought of alligators. According to the Georgians that isn’t something to worry about, we only have to keep an eye out for snakes. I decided to take their word for it.
Today we are packing up our lives and heading to the airport. Packing was an adventure of its own, somehow everything fit back into my backpack, although it took some strategic puzzle piecing a quantity of prayers. My bag come out to a grand total of 35lbs! Praise God! Off to Guatemala!
Love, Rosella
