test

This question of “Why am I still in America” has been something that I have been asking so much lately and have been asked by so many people. Last Saturday all of the non gap year students got to leave and start their trips while we had to stay here, which was so hard because I just wanted to go and serve too!  But the Lord has shown me why I am still here. My squad from day 1 realized how different we all were, we had many spiritual maturity differences and honestly none of us were ready to serve together. We were not a true squad, but now after spending 552 hours together we have bonded together through so much and learned so much together about the heart of the Father and we are truly an equipped squad ready to go to the nations.

Every Nation and Every Tongue

Something that I have been thinking about is that every nation includes America. America needs Jesus! Tomorrow we are heading to Black Mountain, North Carolina and we will be be working at an orphanage, a boys soccer camp, and doing landscaping. It will be so fun to serve together in our teams for the first official week of ministry.

These past two weeks since my last Blog have been filled with so many teachings about Spiritual Warfare, a Bible overview teaching, Prayer, the Holy Spirit, Evangelism, living a Righteous life, discerning the voice of God, and many more. It has been amazing and these teaching have created so many amazing conversations for our team to grow in together.

We had a prayer burn one night and prayed all night long as a squad. We all took shifts and prayed and worshiped all night long. There was 6 of us who stayed up from 11-4 and it was such an amazing time to connect with the Lord, it was probably my favorite night of camp!

We also did evangelism one day in downtown Gainesville and were able to pray over so many different people that day. It was such a cool time to put to test all of our evangelism skills that we had been practicing all week.

We hiked Mt. Yonah and it was so pretty. We worshiped at the top and it was so beautiful to look up at the stars and just lay in awe of God’s wonder and his creation. That night we took some photos on the top and cooked hot dogs over the fire. We brought up our tents and slept their before hiking down the next morning at 5 am in the dark.

The next day we had the famous World Race man hike which is a bonding experience where we complete very hard tasks with all of the guys from all the squads. We bonded so much and it was a great experience to grow together as a team.

Overall, I have been learning so much more about Jesus and I feel so equipped and ready to go to the nations.

Thanks for reading Love and Miss you all!
