Country I’m In:
Thailand
What I’ve been doing:
Our ministry in Thailand is called ActsCo! The ministry receives Christian books and Bibles in many different languages to ship to several places. They also have a BookHouse in Chiang Mai where people can use their library. Our task is to unload a 20ft shipping container, organize all the books into genres, and place them in the BookHouse or prepare them to be shipped to other countries! The ministry seeks to spread the gospel through sending these books! It is so cool to be a part of this process!
What I’ve learned:
-books are a huge way the gospel is spread
-we need community to encourage us to grow
-celebrations are important!
-The Lord speaks to us all the time! We just have to listen.
Stories:
-My team celebrated 4th of July in Thailand! We decorated the room, listened to music, and played America trivia. It was so much fun celebrating with everyone!
-The first day at ministry we sat and talked to our ministry host. He told us about growing up doing ministry and how ActsCo started. Before we sat at the round table he offered us coffee. He said the warm drink relaxes people and lets their guard down to have genuine conversation. We all shared stories of how God has revealed himself to us!
Prayer Requests:
-pray for safety for our team since we are doing more physical work than we’ve been used too
-pray for continued unity among our team
-pray for the people that will be receiving the Bibles and Christian books we are organizing and packaging
