THAILAND!

Wow! Already done with 2 countries!! I thank the Lord for His provision in both Cambodia & Thailand! Here is a little recap of my time in Thailand!!

My team lived alongside 2 other teams at Bella Goose Cafe in Chiang Mai! Although BG wasn’t our main ministry, it was such a gift to have gotten to experience a small part of such a wonderful organization, in which the Lord has established. BG ministers to those who have been involved in human trafficking- which unfortunately is very common in Thailand. Pray that the Lord would move radically in this country!!

My team worked with a ministry about an hour from the city – where we crammed in the back of a truck to drive to everyday! It is a home for children that works to prevent human trafficking – there are around 500 children at this home. Ministry looked a little different than we were expecting. Our hosts expected us to be a team of boys, so we did a lot of construction – mixing & pouring cement for a baptismal – moving heavy objects – and painting a mural! It was refreshing to be outside & doing manual labor! Every Wednesday (there were only 2 haha) we had the opportunity to stay 4 hours after ministry to play and eat dinner with some of the kids! It was such a beautiful opportunity to get to see the Lord move in their hearts. We got the blessing of hearing some of the girls sing Reckless Love in Thai. How wonderful it is that the Lord speaks ALL languages!! One day, we had the opportunity to visit a hill tribe (where a lot of the kids are from) and were given a tour by one of the locals. It was truly an eye opening experience that pushed me into a time of gratitude for what the Lord has so graciously given to me.

Although my time in Thailand was short, the Lord did not shy away from revealing himself to me. Overall in my time in Thailand, I learned more about the gift of repentance. Romans 2:4 says “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?” I praise God that His kindness is what leads us into repentance – turning from the ways of this world, finding the good way & walking in it, ultimately changing our heart posture!! It is truly a GIFT!!

Our squad left Thailand last week – ending our time with a week of debrief (reflecting, resting, and restoring)!! I am now sitting in a coffee shop in Jeffery’s Bay, South Africa – just a few feet from the BEACH!! We started ministry today – starting off with a bible study & then ending with a prayer walk on the beach! The next week or so will be a little bit slower with ministry but I have already seen the Lord moving! We will be here for the next two months!! I am sitting in anticipation for the work the Lord is going to do here!!

Grace & peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
