The morning breaks with golden light,

A promise new, a hope so bright.

The hills rejoice, the rivers gleam,

Creation wakes from heaven’s dream.

The winds that dance through ancient trees,

Sing praise to God upon the breeze.

The mountains stand in reverence tall,

Their echoes shout, “He reigns over all!”

The fields are clothed in emerald grace,

A mirror of His love’s embrace.

Each child’s laughter, pure and free,

Reflects His joy, His majesty.

From royal halls to humble lands,

His mercy flows like reaching hands.

Through trials deep, through battles long,

His strength has made this people strong.

Oh, Swaziland, lift high His name!

Declare His power, His endless reign.

For in your valleys, skies, and streams,

The glory of the Savior beams.

There are so many words I could say about Swaziland, but not enough time to express them all. I have truly fallen deeply in love with this beautiful country—the people, the culture, the simplicity.

In the beginning, I was overwhelmed and homesick. But the grace of the Lord washed over me. I dove deeper into His Word, and it has completely consumed me. As a team, we take time to pray over every country we visit, and the Lord told us that we would learn to love the simple life. Oh, how right He was. The simple life is precious, and it has taught me to embrace the little things.

I have found the Lord in the little things, and it has opened my eyes to His glory.

There are so many places on this journey that I will miss— Serve Hope Coffee Shop in Guatemala, the home we stayed at in Kloof—but when it comes to Swaziland, I will miss the country as a whole
