I get the privilege of sharing with you just one of the many ways God is moving in Nicaragua!!
A few days ago, me and a few of my teammates were prayer walking, just enjoying another day of ministry, when we visited a lovely woman named Mariah. When we entered her house, she was lying in bed and had been for the past three days since her trip to the hospital. Mariah has asthma and it had recently gotten extremely severe. Mariah was able to talk with us about her family and love for the Lord, but she was very weak and struggled to keep conversation without having a coughing fit. After getting to know her and more of her heart, we got the chance to pray over Mariah. After we prayed, she said she was already feeling better, but we could tell she was still a little weak. Then, the Holy Spirit guided us in the decision to worship together as we continued to pray for her. As utterly exhausted as Mariah was, the entire time we worshiped, she lifted her hands for Him and worshipped with legitimately all of her strength. After worshipping for a while, we closed with prayer and that’s when we noticed something was different. All of a sudden, this woman who seemed defeated and overcome by her sickness had a vibrant glow about her. With a smile wiped across her face, she began speaking to us (might I add with little to no struggle with her breathing) about her testimony and how what the Lord had been teaching her. It was like we were talking to a different person. Then, as we wrapped up our conversation and asked to pray for her again, she said “Yes of course!” and hopped out of bed, walking into her living room to pray. Jesus had healed her. In awe, the rest of us followed behind her and my team spent those last moments in prayer with His praises on our lips.
Thank you Lord that sickness and disease have to bow at your name.
You are so worthy of our worship, no matter the outcome. Thank you that the purity within worship breaks chains.
I thank you that I’ve gotten to watch you heal time and time again right before my own eyes and in my own life.
I pray that everyone who reads this is encouraged. That when the enemy tries to make us doubt your character that we can look back at your faithfulness and remember all that you’ve done.
You are so good. Amen.
