Every Thursday, my team has an Ask The Lord (ATL) day. On ATL, we leave the walls of the foundation that we’re currently working alongside of and we go out to evangelize and learn to walk with Jesus in our everyday lives. Sometimes ATL is simply going to the mall or grocery store, however this week (February 22, 2024) we found ourselves at Río Claro, Reserva Natural. Río Claro, Reserva Natural is a nature reserve with the most beautiful wildlife, flora, fauna, and rivers I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. I love nature, I always have, and so in Río Claro I found myself in absolute awe of God’s creation. Our God is so incredibly intricate and creative, I will never get over this fact. I was walking through this incredibly complex and beautiful rainforest and I said aloud “isn’t it so cool that the same God that intentionally crafted each of these plants also created us” and my friend responded with “absolutely, and he created us with even more intentionality and detail” and my mouth fell open! I often find myself in awe of nature, it’s my favorite thing to observe and admire, I am very passionate about it. However, I needed this gentle reminder that every one of God’s wonderful creations that I see in nature don’t hold a candle to how He created us and He views each of us the same way that I view His creation through nature. I’m once again overwhelmed by God, in the best possible way, and I hope to keep this view and heart posture as long as I walk this earth. God is the Wonderful Creator of All Things, and He so deeply admires His creation of mankind. So, get out there! I urge you to get outside and take a moment to admire His creation and then take a moment more to realize that you are even more precious and desirable to God than what you are admiring.
