Wow, the third week in Nicaragua has flown by! We’ve been doing a lot of ministry, and it has been absolutely beautiful. One of the highlights was Wednesday, when we visited the city dump. I had the privilege of sharing a message with the people there:)

I spoke from the book of Ecclesiastes, focusing on how the things of this world will never satisfy. Solomon, the author of Ecclesiastes, was a king with unimaginable wealth and wisdom. He had everything anyone could ever want, yet he repeatedly says, “All is vanity and grasping for the wind.” That verse has opened my eyes in a new way. It’s a reminder that while the world offers so much that seems good, it will never truly fill us. Searching for fulfillment here is like trying to catch the wind—no matter how hard you try, you’ll never catch it.

In contrast, Proverbs 19 tells us that “the fear of the Lord leads to life, and all who find it will find satisfaction.” True joy and contentment can only be found in Christ. Loving God gives us purpose and teaches us to focus on the eternal rather than the temporary.

Prayer Requests:

Please pray for peace among my squad members. We just found out we’ll be split into two teams and stationed eight hours apart while we are in Guatemala. We’ve all grown so close, becoming like family, so it’s hard to imagine being apart. Still, we’re excited and expectant for what God has in store during this time! We’re trusting that His plan is so much better than ours:)

Lastly, I want to give a huge THANK YOU to each and every one of you who has supported me through prayer and financially. You have blessed me so very much.

With love, Ashlin🤍
