Hello everyone! This will be my first official blog from training camp! I’m currently on day two of training here in Gainesville Georgia and let me just say, the Lord is MOVING here!! I have already been learning so much about myself, the Lord, and just what it truly looks like to love him with your life.
Something that we have been asked that has really stuck out to me in this journey is “Are we saying yes to God regardless of what that looks like?” This stuck with me because coming here, it can be super easy to have all of these specific expectations of what we want to happen or exactly how we want our race to look. But, in reality, the Lords plan is ALWAYS going to exceed our expectations. We learned that in our relationship with the Lord, the only one who’s truly in a hurry is us. But, in giving Him our lives, He then has eternity to work everything out. This gives me so much peace because the creator of the universe has control and power over our entire being and when we actually let him in, the Holy Spirit will never fail to show up.
One more thing that has just been such a blessing about this training camp, is that the staff here actually let the Holy Spirit take over. This is so special because our agendas are based on what the Lord wants to do in our hearts rather than getting through a certain amount of teachings/sessions. This means that if we are in worship and we get caught up in His presence, we will sit in that and enjoy it. We will pray for each other and talk about what the Lord is teaching us. This can mean worshiping for hours straight even when it’s not been timed out for us on our schedule. The Lord is incredibly worthy and He deserves all of what we can give Him.
My last thought that I have to share is just a question. Are you living for God or are you living with God? This may seem like a weird question because aren’t we supposed to be living for God? And the answer can be yes, but if we are not living alongside God then we are only living to try to please Him. When we invite Him in, we then transition from doing life to make the Lord happy to living in step with the Spirit and letting Him prune us and strengthen us as we serve Him. This is SO MUCH BETTER + SO LIFEGIVING!!
My last thing I have to say is that we just found out we are going to Nicaragua first!!! So exciting!!! My team is amazing and I can’t wait to walk into what the Lord has for us!! Thanks everyone for reading!! ❤️
