This past week of training camp has been nothing short of incredible. In just four weeks, I’ll be boarding a plane to begin The World Race to Eswatini, Malaysia, Guatemala, and Nicarauga and these three weeks of training camp are preparing me in ways I never expected.
Week one is officially in the books and I already feel overwhelmed with gratitude! Every day is packed with worship, prayer, teaching, and fellowship. The World Race is an interdenominational organization, which means we get to witness such a beautiful variety of spiritual gifts. It’s been eye-opening and humbling to sit in sessions where people pray boldly, worship deeply, and teach with wisdom that can only come from the Spirit. The teachings aren’t just about ministry skills, they’re about transformation. God has been pouring into me so personally, reminding me that before I go and pour out, I have to let Him fill me first.
And then there’s the outdoor living. I’m currently sleeping in a tent (complete with all my pink things, of course). It’s fun until it rains, but I’ve actually loved the simplicity of it. Hammocks have become our favorite hangout spots during breaks, and there’s something refreshing about unplugging and just being outside. It’s starting to feel like home in the best way.
But the best part of this first week? The people. Somehow, in just seven days, I have 31 new best friends. We’ve shared stories, meals, prayers, and way too much laughter already. It’s wild how quickly God knits hearts together when you’re united for the same mission. I truly love these people and their hearts for Jesus. It feels like family already, and I can’t wait to see how these bonds grow as we step into the nations together.
One week down, two to go and I know God isn’t done moving.
