I promised to share more in depth what we do at the Birdhouse Ministry on Tuesdays, and we just had our first “normal” Ministry day yesterday, which means, of course, I have to write a blog on it!

But first, a quick explanation of what we have been doing on Tuesdays before now. We do house visits during the first part of the day, usually 2-3, and we just visit people and show them the love of Jesus! It’s so inspiring to see how touched people are to know that we love them enough to take time to just sit with them!

Then, we’ve been painting! It doesn’t sound like the most fun, but anything can be fun when you do it with friends and Jesus!

Okay, so how our Tuesdays are going to look from now on is… still house visits in the mornings, but now, after lunch, we’re going to be teaching a Bible-themed English lesson to a group of 15-25 kids, from all age groups (but mostly 8-10 year olds!)

We start out with some fun songs starting at around 2:00. Then we teach a lesson in English, with our ministry host, Tulio, translating it into Spanish. We follow with a themed song, game, and craft, which we all take turns leading. Then, we spend time just hanging out with the kids and loving on them! I like to call it Organized Chaos!

Then it ends at around 4:00, where snacks and a drink is handed out to everyone, before we all say our farewells, and pile into the truck that will take us back to base! I love riding in the truck bed! It’s such an adventure!!

So yeah, there’s a short little something on what we do on Tuesdays!
