Goodbye, South Africa, the land so wide,
Where mountains kiss the sky and oceans collide.
I’ll miss the sunsets, the golden light,
The days so warm and the starry night.
The city streets, the rhythm, the sound,
The bustling life where dreams are found.
From Cape Town’s peaks to Durban’s shore,
I’ve left my heart, but still want more.
The laughter, the colors, the warmth in the air,
The spirit of hope that is always there.
The kindness of strangers, the friendships made,
In this land of contrast, I’ve always stayed.
The wild safaris, the vast, open plains,
The memory of rainstorms, to the chilly night
The taste of biltong, and the hours spent at Mug n Bean.
Though I must leave, my heart will remain,
A piece of me with you, through sun and rain.
Thank you for moments I’ll never forget,
For every sunrise, for every sunset.
Goodbye, South Africa, but not farewell,
Your beauty and warmth will continue to swell.
In my heart, you’ll forever reside,
As I carry you with me, far and wide.
