Hello Friends and Family! I am extremely grateful for the blessing and opportunity to share with you all what God has been doing here in South Africa!
After arriving in South Africa, our team was partnered with a local orphanage and we have had the privilege of serving these people. I am so grateful for this opportunity! These kids are beautiful inside and out and they have beautiful stories! The “Mama” of the orphanage is an incredible woman who truly loves the Lord and the kids she cares for. Throughout the heartbreak of these kids’ stories, God still works and sends these kids to this home to receive his grace!
The orphanage is not only an orphanage but also a daycare for children. Many kids cannot stay at home throughout the day, so they will go to the orphanage to learn and be around other kids their age.
A typical day in life lately looks like waking up and heading over to the orphanage. Some of us will start by giving the babies baths, feeding them, and laying them down for their naps. These babies are precious and also love to blow you kisses, clapping, and waving their little fingers in the air and saying no, no, no, over and over again. It’s just about the cutest thing I have ever seen. While some are caring for the babies, others are starting a day of school for the preschool-aged kids. We often listen to lots of songs, dance A LOT, and play games like hot potato & hide & seek. We eat with these kids and then finally put them down for their mid-day naps. Lately, there have been many days of holiday, allowing us to take the kids to the beach which they love! These kids are so sweet and also just brilliant, they love helping us learn the songs they know.
It has been so refreshing being around these people who love the Lord and also serving kids and teaching them about the word of God, Jesus, and life! Life with Jesus is beautiful, exciting, and most of all joyful! Jesus works in the most beautiful, fascinating ways. His mercies are new every morning and getting to spend my life with Jesus and seeing his mercy is my favorite part of life. He is so good and continues to reveal more of himself every day to me and I’m eternally grateful for that.
A couple other highlights of the last couple weeks, one of the kids at the orphanage had his 17th birthday while we were there and he was so sweet and shared his birthday cake with us and also shared his incredible story. In addition, another girl from the orphanage was off to nationals for gymnastics, we enjoyed dinner with her before she left and prayed for her safety. They made a meal of chicken hearts, throat, intestines and stew for us as we celebrated her accomplishment.

Please pray for the kids and the orphanage. Pray that they would be blessed and for their safety. Pray that the kids would be able to know and experience Jesus for themselves as they get older. Pray for me and my team that we would be able to love them in the best way we can and that we would just be a light to the orphanage. Pray that we wouldn’t show the orphanage ourselves but rather we would show them Christ.
Thank you for your support and prayers. If you would like to hear more please feel free to subscribe! God bless you all!
