Recovering from Bronchitis

It’s been quite a journey recovering from bronchitis, and I can’t help but reflect on how God’s grace and some good medication have played a significant role in my healing. As I’ve navigated this challenging time, I’ve found joy and connection in unexpected places.

A Day at the Lake

Recently, I had the opportunity to spend a fun day with my squad at a beautiful lake. The water was blue and warm, making it the perfect backdrop for laughter and camaraderie. One of the highlights was teaching our leader how to swim! It was an amazing reminder of the simple pleasures in life and the strength of our community.

Back to Ministry

With my health improving, I dove back into ministry, participating in prayer walks that truly touched my heart. Visiting people in their homes, sharing the love of the Lord, and praying for them was incredibly fulfilling. It’s amazing to see how God uses us as vessels to spread love and hope. I feel so grateful to be a part of this work and to witness the joy it brings to others.

Hard Work on the Farm

My friend Sam and I, both recovering from bronchitis, rolled up our sleeves to work on the farm. Our task? Digging a trench around our sleeping quarters in the blazing heat. Let me tell you, I’ve never sweat more in my life! But amid the hard work, we stumbled upon a surprise—a tarantula in the weeds. For someone like me who’s terrified of spiders, it was definitely a test of faith and courage!

The Challenge of Fasting

As if that wasn’t enough, we also started a three-day fast. For me, that meant no food for three days. The experience has been challenging, to say the least. I’ve felt weak, dizzy, and at times on the verge of passing out. Yet, even in this discomfort, I’ve discovered a deeper sense of joy. Spending time with God and seeking His presence has filled my heart in ways I never expected.

A Heart Full of Gratitude

Through it all, I’ve been overwhelmed by God’s goodness. My love for the Lord is continually growing, and my heart is changing as I draw closer to Him. I can’t help but smile and proclaim how good God is, even amidst challenges.

As I look forward to breaking my fast, I can’t wait to savor a delicious burrito! Writing this makes my mouth water just thinking about it. But more than that, I cherish the time I’ve spent in prayer and reflection, sitting in His presence.

Conclusion

Recovering from bronchitis has been more than just a physical journey; it’s been a spiritual one. I’m so grateful for God’s provision, the support of my friends, and the moments of joy amidst the trials. God is truly good, and I am excited to see how He continues to work in my life and the lives of those around me. Thank you, God, for your endless goodness!
