This was a very mentally challenging, but super fruitful week!

Monday is our Adventure day of course, but we basically just had to recuperate from the night before (Super Bowl party), so everyone pretty much just slept all day haha.

Tuesday, we went to the refugee center where I was with the kids for most of the day, then we headed to Moses with our friend Judith to hangout for a little while.

I went to Moses with Kat on Wednesday to help around the cafe while she did her one on one with Antonis. I had some free time, so I read my Bible and re-read âThe Greatest Thing in the World,â (Itâs about 1 Corinthians 13 and the ingredients of love) which I read in Thailand. ITâS SOOO GOOD AND ITâS FREE ONLINE, so if you havenât read it I highly encourage it. That night, I cooked creamy garlic chicken pasta for the team. đ

Thursday, we went to the refugee center like usual. They had some amazing looking spaghetti and bread that made the whole room smell amazing.
FRIDAY WAS VALENTINEâS DAY!!! Lucy made everyone little heart pancakes and made space for God to come in and remind us of His love. We went to a prayer meeting at the cafe, then Ava, Naty, JJ, Lexi, and I went out for ATL. We walked down to the university, and in the process of finding people to talk to, walked into a symphony rehearsal. They let us sit in on their beautiful songs, and some of the girls ended up going to the symphony that night. Post dinner, Lucy and Emery made a beautiful Valentineâs Day charcuterie board for everyone. Then I ended Valentineâs Day by watching Descendants with Liv while the girls were at the symphony.

Valentine’s Day! â€ïž

ATL
Saturday is normally our sabbath, but Antonis invited us over to his house for lunch. We all got over there at 1:00, and we got a little house tour, then just hung out for a bit. Viki made us an AMAZZIINNNNGGG lunch, then we watched âMy Big Fat Greek Weddingâ with them. After the movie, we just played games with him and his family. We got back to our apartment around 7:00 and chilled for the rest of the night.

CHURCH ON SUNDAY!! I was with a few of the kids upstairs today to discuss what truth means and why itâs so important to be honest. Antonis continues to give me a different perspective to things and I’m very thankful for his wisdom. God is using this man so much.

SOOOO a huge part of my week was my fast from Monday-Saturday. Holy molyyy dude I had to ask God for so much self control. I broke my fast right before going over to Antonisâs house, so Vikiâs meal was the first real one I had in almost a week. Obviously I missed out on eating our Valentine’s day treats as well as my own meal (cooking while fasting is HARD), and the spaghetti at the refugee center. My main motivations for this fast was I wanted to practice more discipline in the Lord especially since I haven’t gone more than three days, and I wanted to challenge myself in trying to remain present while struggling. I knew that if I wasnât eating I would want to wish the days away. Of course God sustained me like He has every time. When I was feeling extremely fatigued/weak/sick, He rejuvenated me. Also not only was it tempting to eat the food in front of me, but to also to not control my tongue and how I talk about it. Only by the grace of God Iâm able to remain controlled in not complaining about it. He gives me so much joy in times where all I wanna do is shove a cheeseburger in my mouth. All jokes aside this was so hard, but Iâm stronger now, and now going back to eating like normal I have to exhibit the same amount of discipline. God made food and itâs good, but it canât be an idle. LOTS of things from this fast.

Weâre entering the last week of ministry in Thessaloniki, Greece which is very bitter sweet. Iâm so excited for Guatemala, getting to see the rest of the squad again and seeing my parents, but Iâm really going to miss everyone here.
GOTTA DIAL IN FOR THE LAST BIT OF EUROPE! WOOP WOOP! đđ»
