test

Monday morning we went to training. The training was about intercession. Intercession is reading and agreeing with the Bible. We did one hour of intercession prayer in Antigua before heading back to prayer mountain.

Tuesday- we got up early and drove 1.5 hours to the village where we are helping build a house. We started moving materials, dirty. Then afterwards we went back to prayer mountain. One of my teammates shared their testimony.

Moving dirt for the family that we will build house for.

Wednesday-we were involved in soccer ministry in the morning for a village that was about 2 miles away. Involved, I mean some of my teammates and I played a scrimmage soccer game with them. Man let me tell you I am a competitive person and I was playing my best. But those kids are so skillful and fast that I feel like I can’t compare to them. Wednesday afternoon we went back to prayer mountain and helped work on stuff around the mountain to make it livable. Right now they are trying to get the electricity and water flowing smoothly. And making platforms to move storage buildings.

Soccer practice with kids from Chimachoy!

Helped build a box for the generator.

Thursday-I felt kinda bad that I didn’t do any work. I pretty much got up and went to town to take a one hour call with my mentor in the states. That took pretty much the whole day because of  transportation and then we just decided to spend sometime with the Lord before we went back. So the call that I have with my mentor is a weekly thing. I have one hour calls with her because I am a team leader.

As a team leader, you are to ensure things run smoothly, communicate with the host and then communicate it with the team. Lead things and take initiative. Make decisions. During training camp they talked about the role and my squad were able to voice what we were good at. There were treasury, logistics, team leader, storyteller and worship coordinator. I said that I would be good as treasurer. I hate being a leader, and hate telling people what to do (especially adults). Hate being put on the spot. Also, hate making decisions for people. I like to go with the flow. But I accepted the role of team leading. Now we are in week 3. I am starting to learn more about what I’m supposed to do. I struggled this week especially with thoughts like I don’t want to be a team leader anymore. I don’t feel confident. I am too quiet. My Bible knowledge is the lowest on the team, my faith is less than and just feeling unqualified. But I am trying my best because I believe that the Lord can use the least qualified and he has appointed me to this position. Please pray for me as a team leader to grow in my role, faith, knowledge and to be confident.

Friday-Sabbath, we had multiple people that work with the AIM base here in Guatemala come to do their sabbath with us. So sabbath was a little different, but it was still good. It made the day go by a little fast. During sabbath, we got to chat with people and I was able to share my story with some of the people that were there. Then we ended with worship and prayer by the fire.

Saturday-My team left the mountain for Antigua in the city where we have been staying in the Airbnb for the weekends. Once we got here we cleaned up and took our laundry to be washed and then one person on my team shared her testimony. Then we watched a training video. In the afternoon we went to Serve Hope Cafe and did scripture reading. Afterwards my team had a belated galentines dinner. It

Sunday- slow start to the morning and then breakfast at Burger King. In the afternoon we supported the team that we played soccer with on Wednesday. Then finished shopping for the rest of our groceries for the week.
