Heart of Worship
In the distractions of our daily lives, it’s easy to overlook the moments that stir our hearts to worship. Recently, I found myself immersed in experiences that reminded me of the beauty of gratitude, the power of good plans, and the profound impact of community.
Names and Gratitude
As I gathered with my team to pray over children in the hospital, I was struck by the importance of prayer. Each child represented a story, a family, and a hope. As we prayed, our hearts trembled with empathy, recognizing the fragility of life. In those moments, I felt an overwhelming gratitude for the opportunity to serve, to lift up those who are struggling, and to be a vessel of hope.
Good Plans and the Heart of Worship
We also had the chance to visit the home of one of our translators’ grandparents. Their kindness enveloped us, making us feel valued and cherished. They shared stories of faith and resilience that inspired us deeply. It’s in these moments that I am reminded of God’s good plans, how He weaves our paths together, encouraging us to trust in His timing.
A Testament of Love
One of the most moving encounters was with an elderly couple who shared their love story. They had been married for 60 years, and their devotion to one another set a high standard for relationships. The husband’s commitment—walking 12 hours to fetch medicine for his ailing wife and 12 hours back—spoke volumes about love in action. Their encouragement to my friend Mi and me reaffirmed our faith that God will bring the right person into our lives at the right time.
Serving in Broken Places
Our visit to the dump was heart-wrenching. As we fed and ministered to those living there, I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. Yet, amidst the despair, I witnessed God moving. He is working for the good of those in need, and it was a privilege to be a part of that mission.
Sharing His Word
One of the highlights of my week was preaching during our squad church. I felt honored to share what the Lord had placed on my heart. In those moments of sharing, I was reminded that this is how I thank the Lord—by using my voice and my experiences to glorify Him and uplift others.
Holy Forever
Each experience, whether joyful or challenging, brought me back to a heart of worship. As we navigate this life, let us remain anchored in gratitude, trusting that His plans are good. The stories we gather, the lives we touch, and the love we share echo His faithfulness—Holy forever.
In all these moments, I am reminded that worship isn’t confined to songs or prayers; it is lived out in every act of service, every word of encouragement, and every heartfelt connection. Let’s continue to honor Him in all we do.
