The title is something you’re probably thinking about, so I am here to tell you why I decided to participate in this program.
Here’s my story.
It began with my mom bringing the idea up to me a couple of months ago while we were driving. Initially, I considered it but brushed it off because it was something out of my comfort zone. Since I was set on attending college straight after high school. However, as time went on, I began questioning this idea I’ve believed in my whole life and felt the Lord bringing me to participate in this missionary program, and it was something I couldn’t just ignore.
I began praying about it and googling what the “World Race” was, and it caught my attention. As time went on, my passion for being a missionary only grew; I had various dreams, and people around me confirmed what God had told me. It was clear that this was something God wanted me to do, so I signed up to do the World Race Gap Year, stepping out in faith. Now I won’t lie. There were times I doubted and wrestled with God because of fear, but Jesus comforted me and showed me there is nothing to be afraid of. I believe the Lord is teaching me through this to trust him more through this and be more intimate with him! Which is so beautiful to me and reminds me to keep pursing him and keep having faith in him!
My goal through this is to honor Jesus and bring more lives to Christ. <3
