As a senior in high school, you’re constantly encouraged to consider all the options for your future. But not every path is the right one—and sometimes, we chase what we think is best rather than trusting in what God has planned for us.

For a long time, I was set on attending a four-year college. I dreamed of the full experience—living in a dorm, meeting new people, and learning to live independently. I had been accepted into several schools nearby, was awarded some scholarships, and even scheduled a few campus visits. Everything seemed to be falling into place. But as the deadline to commit approached, I started to feel unsettled. Deep down, I knew that graduating with $80,000 in debt wasn’t the future God had in mind for me.

That realization led me to start exploring other paths—like the military, community college, and missions. During that search, I came across Adventures in Missions. I knew a few friends who had gone on trips with them previously and were intrigued, so I began to dig deeper. The more I learned, the more peace and clarity I felt. I realized this was exactly where God was leading me—to serve, to grow, and to be used by Him in ways I never imagined.

Now, I’m stepping out in faith and saying yes to this new adventure. I’m so excited for the journey ahead and can’t wait to see how God moves in and through me as I follow His call!
