Hey everyone! Today is the last day of the first week of training camp! This past week has been so good, bad, encouraging, and humbling, but the one constant is God! He has already taught me so much about myself and claimed parts of my heart to be His! It is really hard to let parts of yourself die to God and allow Him to take over, but it is so worth it! While God has been doing the spiritual training, the team leads/mentors/coaches have taken over the physical and mental training! On Friday, everybody did a mock house visit to practice evangelism and it was HARD. Two teammates and I had to go to a “house” and ask if we could pray for them. Eventually, we started sharing the Gospel with them and it was hard to follow each other, pick up where one person left off, and try to communicate how the good news is the best news! I even tried to explain the trinity and that was a hot mess. Luckily, it didn’t go as bad as I thought it did and I received some really good feedback. The next day, the whole squad got an “evangelism 101” so that we could learn and practice the most effective ways to share the gospel! This is just one story of the many but I’ll share more later! Thanks for reading and have a blessed day!
